I’ve loved movies, ever since the first time I entered a theater as a young lad. I think it’s somewhat hereditary, as my Dad was always going to movies. Even when there wasn’t a lot of money around, he always found a way to go the movies. It was a fascination he never outgrew, and I must admit that even I don’t think I will. There’s just something about watching a story unfold on the big screen that fascinates me to know end. And it’s not just the actual movie itself, but the creative process behind the scenes that I really enjoy. The making of the movie that comes on DVDs is in my mind, the best part of the whole DVD experience. There have been a few movies, that I liked even more after watching the making-of vignettes afterwords.
I do believe, that I missed my true calling in life, which was to spend my days on a movie set. I’m not the actor type, and certainly not the in charge director type either. But, just to be part of the whole movie making experience would be extremely cool. Maybe one of the special effects guys, and one of the guys that makes all the cool model spaceships, monsters and other creepy stuff would be good enough for me. But since that’s not likely to happen at this stage in my career, then this little website can be my replacement.
I enjoy writing as well, so why not be a novice movie critic for everyone to read about. Given that the internet let’s just about anyone have a voice. Why shouldn’t I? Anyway, hope you enjoy my drivel about movies, movie making, and the the movie business as a whole. I know I enjoy writing about it here in my little piece of the internet digital world.
